Created for the 48 Hour Short Film Festival, king. is Hannah Smith and Amelia Rooney’s first short film. Together with a team of actors, they created king., a film about two teenage boys on the cusp of adulthood who, at their senior prom, decide to spend one final night being free. Wrapped neatly within a classic 2000’s montage sequence and queer yearning, king. showcases the hidden stories of teenagers trying to discover themselves in a world that demands for everyone to fit in. king. was created in 48 hours with the genre Romance, line ‘are you wearing my pants?’, prop battery, and character Danni Turner as radio host.
